CEGG
has designed and provided construction administration and inspection
services for many projects including Lynnhaven Colony/Cape Story
by the Sea Drainage Outfall for the City of Virginia Beach that
was recently completed and the Storm Drainage Improvement and
Stormwater Management Study currently being done for Thomas Jefferson
National Accelerator Facility in Newport News. We have also studied
and designed drainage improvement projects and new projects, that
included storm drainage and storm water management, for various
clients in the Hampton Roads area.
We pride
ourselves in providing aesthetic design features in all of our
projects. When necessary, we have included our architectrual
staff in master planning and designing site improvements that
have created landscape areas and park settings to improve the
streets and the entire project area. Some challenges might be
to minimize the impact on existing trees and landscaping and
to restore the construction area to pre-existing conditions
or better. The topographic surveys will identify vegetation,
site improvements and other features that need protection during
construction or restoration after construction. Where disturbance
or removal of landscape features is necessary for construction
of the drainage improvement, public hearings will be conducted
to advise property owners and to obtain their input for acceptable
mitigating measures, to restore the site to pre-existig conditions
or better, to the satisfaction of the residents.
